Pre Reading :

Problem Definition : The total cost of a picnic for a group of 100 people is 3000 and for 200 people the total cost is 5000. What will be the total cost when 500 People are taken on the same picnic ?

Part 2

Problem definition : The cost per head for a group of students going on a picnic reduced from 80 to 60 when the number of students increases from 20 to 30 . What will be the Cost per head when number of students going on the Picnic is 50 ?

1. The expense of a school are partly constant and party vary as the number of boys. The expenses were Rs 10,000 for 150 boys and Rs 8, 400 for 120 boys , What will be the expense when there are 330 boys in the school ?

2. The electricity bill of a certain establishment is party fixed and partly varies as the units of electricity consumed. When in a certain month 540 units were consumed, the bill is Rs 1800. In another month 620 units are consumed and bill is Rs 2040. What will be the bill amount when 500 units of electricity are consumed ?

3. The cost of a boarding school is partly fixed and partly varies directly with the number of boarders. When there are 400 boarders the cost per head is Rs 120 and when there are 500 boarders , the cost per head is Rs 100. Find the cost per head when there are 800 boarders .
