Keep on

Meaning: continue doing something

Example: I told him to be quiet but he kept on making noise.

Leave out

Meaning: omit, not mention

Example: I checked the list for my name, but I guess it was left out.

Make fun of

Meaning: laugh at/make jokes about

Example: That man has a very odd behaviour, everybody makes fun of him.

Nod off

Meaning: fall asleep

Example: While watching TV I nodded off last night.

Opt out

Meaning: leave a system or decide not to participate

Example: I never understood statistical analysis, so I opted out of it in the next semester.

Pass away

Meaning: die

Example: Jake did not come to school for two weeks because his grandfather passed away.

Rely on

Meaning: count on, depend on, trust

Example: You can always rely on Susan because she very punctual.

Set off

Meaning: start a journey

Example: One night my friends and I set off on our bikes to tour South India.

Take after

Meaning: resemble, in appearance or character

Example: Jignesh really takes after his dad. It reflects in the way he carries out his business.

Use up

Meaning: finish a product (completely)

Example: The boys used up their ration in the first two days of their five day camp.

    1. Despite being beleagured, I had cold reply to my ill-wishers “I would Keep On Till Eternity”….
    2. Its never good to opt out any evidence without a thorough analysis of its intrinsic details.
    3. To rely on others leads to self-handicapping.
    4. Without worrying about the aim one shoudn’t set-off for realising its’ aim like a ship without a rudder.
    5. To take after others’ ideologies is next to nothing but sheer injustice to ones’ own uniqueness.

    1.keep on- Even after several warnings by the society office, the students kept on making nuisance during late night.

    2.Leave out- My name was left out from the list of distinction holders.

    3.make fun of- Everyone started making fun of him when they realized that he was not wearing trousers beneath.

    4.Nod off- The movie was so boring that i nodded off in between.

    5.opt out-He opted out from the core committee as he was not willing to work with people present in them.

    6.pass away- The old man passed away at night as he was suffering from high fever and old age.

    7.rely on- I was relying on him for his help on the topic as i had many doubts.

    8.set off- we friends set off for a journey to ladakh as soon as our vacations started.
